SQL Server 2008 (Management Studio)

I conducted 3 days HoL for Faculty on SQL Server 2008 in Dec '08

SQL Sever 2008 comes with a bundle of fearures making the life of developer's and dba's quiet easy, the management studio is aided with some powerful tools and operations by which it becomes much more seucre and managable as compared to ever before. This year few of it's features were deeply discussed during Microsoft Academia in a Box Training and Enterprise TechTalk seminar held at the MIC, i conducted both these events the features under the discussion were Policy Management, Resource Governor, Change Data Capture (CDC), Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Management Data Warehouse (MDW) etc.

The presentation attached with this note contains very relevant information with respect to Microsoft Data Platform vision and Modern DBs. Further it also targets those users who are currently working on Non MS DB Platform and want to migrate to SQL Server, for them SSMA ( SQL Server Migration Assistant) is the right tool for seamless migration with around 90% + accuracy on an enterprise level DB. As far as my personal experience is concerned it has worked more than 98% + Accuratley while Migrating from Oracle (9i, 10g) to SQL Sever 2005.
Addressing the Developers at Enterprise TechTalk semiar held at MIC

Any discussions on any content of this presentation are welcome.
